Comparisaon Between 10mm And 9 Mm

The war between these two calibres seems to be an unending one as both are not just equally good but they have their unique qualities and identities. no matter how you compare the two usually it comes down to the user's preference but still, we are doing it again to see if one is better than the other. one known fact that almost everyone knows is that 10mm has more multi-faceted use than 9mm . Also, the fact that 10 mm is more powerful than 9mm but still despite these two clear advantages 10 mm is not a straight win in this fight, the reason you will see in this blog. As these are used as self-defence handguns and views are divided among shooters when it comes to a self-defence caliber , few believe that it should have more stopping power and better ballistics but few believe it has to be light-weighted with low recoil. That is the reason that this comparison becomes more interesting.

Despite the difference of just 1mm in diameter their bullet weight, muzzle velocity and energy. first of all, if you compare the case then 10 mm has a bigger case in every aspect . in stopping power also 10 mm has an edge over 9mm , although there is quite a controversy as far as stopping power is concerned with FBI data suggesting that they both have similar penetration. As far as recoil is concerned 9mm has lower recoil when compared to 10 mm and this was the main reason for the FBI shifting to 9mm . when it comes to hunting though 10mm Ammo is a preferred bet of the hunters as recoil does not matter much in hunting, 10 mm ammo manufactured by underwood ammo is a popular choice of hunters .underwood ammo specializes in manufacturing hunting ammo.

For concealed carry and self-defence, 9mm is a better choice as they are lightweight and have low recoil. But as far as defending against a bear is concerned 10 mm is the choice as you probably need more penetration and stopping power. 10 mm ammo is more expensive than 9 mm for obvious reasons. as far as ballistics are concerned main difference is the kinetic energy of 10 mm is more otherwise there is nothing much to choose between the two. After looking at all the advantages and disadvantages it would not be the right thing to crown one as both are equally good with unique features and abilities. it all comes down to the choice and use of the user.
